By requesting a quote, scheduling a site assessment, signing a service agreement, or otherwise engaging Michigan Security Systems ("MSS," "we," "us," or "our") for any services, you ("Client") agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.
These Terms apply to all services provided by Michigan Security Systems, including but not limited to security camera installation, access control systems, commercial alarm systems, structured cabling, audio/video integration, remote monitoring setup, and any related consultation or support services.

Michigan Security Systems is a licensed commercial security integrator headquartered in Macomb County, Michigan, with additional offices in Wixom and Milford. We provide the following services for commercial, industrial, and municipal clients:
All installations are performed exclusively by licensed Michigan Security Systems technicians. We do not use subcontractors. All work is performed in compliance with applicable Michigan state licensing requirements.
Free Site Assessments: Michigan Security Systems offers free on-site assessments for commercial properties. A site assessment does not obligate the Client to purchase any services.
Written Quotes: All projects begin with a written, itemized quote. Quotes are valid for 30 days from the date of issuance unless otherwise stated. Quotes may be revised if site conditions differ materially from those observed during the assessment.
Pricing: Quoted prices include materials, labor, and standard installation. Any additional work, materials, or scope changes requested after the quote is signed will be documented in a written change order and priced accordingly. We do not perform out-of-scope work without written Client approval.
Payment Terms:
Scheduling: Installation dates are scheduled mutually and confirmed in writing. Michigan Security Systems will make reasonable efforts to complete projects on schedule. We offer off-hours installation (evenings and weekends) at no additional charge when arranged in advance.
Client Access: Client must provide MSS technicians with reasonable access to the property during the scheduled installation window. If Client fails to provide access, MSS reserves the right to reschedule and may charge a rescheduling fee.
Site Conditions: Client is responsible for ensuring the installation site is reasonably accessible and safe. MSS may suspend or delay work if site conditions are unsafe or materially different from those assessed during the initial site walk.
Completion & Sign-Off: Upon completion, an MSS technician will walk through the installed system with Client or Client's designated representative, provide training, and obtain a signed completion acknowledgment. The completion sign-off triggers final payment.
Off-Hours Work: Installations performed during evenings, weekends, or holidays are offered at no additional charge when scheduled in advance. Emergency call-outs outside of business hours may be subject to an after-hours service rate.
Workmanship Warranty: Michigan Security Systems warrants all labor and workmanship for a period of one (1) year from the date of project completion. This warranty covers defects in installation arising from MSS's work.
Equipment Warranty: All equipment installed by MSS is covered by the manufacturer's warranty. Warranty terms vary by manufacturer and product. MSS will assist clients in filing warranty claims with manufacturers during the warranty period.

The Client agrees to:
Limitation of Damages: To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Michigan Security Systems' total liability for any claim arising from our services shall not exceed the total amount paid by Client for the specific services giving rise to the claim.
No Consequential Damages: In no event shall MSS be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, loss of data, business interruption, or property damage not directly caused by MSS's gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Security System Limitations: Client acknowledges that no security system can guarantee the prevention of theft, vandalism, fire, or other loss. Security systems are deterrents and detection tools. MSS does not guarantee that a security system will prevent any specific incident or loss.
Monitoring Disclaimer: Unless MSS has a separate written agreement to provide active monitoring services, MSS is not responsible for monitoring Client's security systems or responding to alarms.
Force Majeure: MSS shall not be liable for delays or failures in performance resulting from causes beyond our reasonable control, including supply chain disruptions, labor shortages, acts of God, or government actions.
MSS Property: All designs, drawings, system schematics, proprietary installation methods, software configurations, and other intellectual property created by Michigan Security Systems in connection with your project remain the property of MSS unless otherwise agreed in writing.
Client License: MSS grants Client a non-exclusive license to use any system documentation, user guides, and configuration files specifically created for Client's installed system, solely for the purpose of operating and maintaining that system.
Website Content: All content on the Michigan Security Systems website, including text, images, graphics, and logos, is the property of MSS and may not be reproduced without written permission.
Client Materials: Client retains ownership of all pre-existing intellectual property and materials provided to MSS for use in the project.
Governing Law: These Terms of Service and any disputes arising from our services shall be governed by the laws of the State of Michigan, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Informal Resolution: Before initiating any formal dispute process, the parties agree to attempt to resolve disputes informally. Client should contact us at 586-466-4490 or Info@michigancamerasystems.com to discuss the issue. We will make good-faith efforts to resolve any concerns within 30 days.
Jurisdiction: Any legal action or proceeding arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Macomb County, Michigan. Both parties consent to personal jurisdiction in those courts.
Waiver of Jury Trial: To the extent permitted by applicable law, both parties waive their right to a jury trial in any dispute arising from these Terms or our services.
Contractor Licensing Disputes: Disputes regarding contractor licensing or workmanship may also be filed with the Michigan Department of Licensing and Regulatory Affairs (LARA).
Entire Agreement: These Terms of Service, together with any signed service agreement, quote, or change orders, constitute the entire agreement between the parties with respect to the subject matter hereof.
Modifications: Michigan Security Systems reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes are effective upon posting to our website. Continued use of our services after changes are posted constitutes acceptance. For active service agreements, material changes will be communicated directly to Client.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall continue in full force and effect.
Waiver: MSS's failure to enforce any provision of these Terms shall not be construed as a waiver of our right to enforce that provision in the future.
Assignment: Client may not assign these Terms or any rights hereunder without MSS's prior written consent. MSS may assign these Terms in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of substantially all of our assets.
